Abstract

The Republic of Azerbaijan refers to a geographical region located in the eastern part of the Caucasus, encompassing the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, the Talish region, Kurinskaya oblast, and Nakhichevan. The Republic has a density of 86.6 thousand per square kilometer, with 40% of the landfill consisting of oil and 60% comprising snow. The small Caucasus and its lowlands, along with the intricate geographical positioning of Azerbaijan's historical territories, have been inhabited for millennia and have been extensively utilized for agriculture and livestock rearing. Current data on soil moisture and temperature within management systems for agricultural production is essential for making timely decisions regarding the development of ecologically sustainable irrigation technologies aimed at optimizing crop yields.
